Artist Ernst Logar joins Jennifer Wenzel to discuss Reflecting Oil, a research project that approaches petroleum through direct encounters with the material. The conversation brings visual art together with sensory experience and the cultural meanings of oil, asking what artistic practice can reveal beyond familiar economic and environmental accounts. Ernst Logar was born in Austria and is based in Vienna. Working across photography, film, sound, sculpture and installation, he also researches and teaches at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
